Miracles Are Still Being Performed

“The Lord replied, Listen, I am making a covenant with you in the presence of all your people. I will perform miracles that never have been performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the power of the Lord – the awesome power I will display for you.” (Exodus 34:10)

More to Life

Is there more to life than what we can see? Why must things always seem so tough?

God has the power to change us and meet us where we are.  Take a second and think about miracles and what that word means.  A miracle is something that defies nature.  It seems impossible, such as an event attributed to a supernatural being (God), a miracle worker, a saint, a religious leader.

The Bible tells us that Jesus performed many miracles.  Some of those miracles just to name a few are:

•           Jesus turned water into wine. (John 2:1-11)

•           Jesus fed 5000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. (John 6:1-14; Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6:32-44; Luke 9:10-17)

•           Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. (John 11:1-46)

Those miracles were performed to show that Jesus was who he said he was and so that people would believe in Him.  Do you believe miracles still happen? Of course, miracles are still being performed! God speaks to us through people and situations.  Have you ever experienced a miracle, something that you cannot explain?

My First Miracle

I received my first MIRACLE when I was 10 years old after purchasing a book from a school bookfair.  The book was about a young girl with cancer.  I was only drawn to the book because my classmate at the time was battling cancer.  She was always absent from school because of it.

I wanted to know what cancer really was.  I could not put the book down and my mother was impressed.  She wanted me to read all day every day, but I did not like reading. (rolling my eyes) Well, my mother decided she needed to read the book that kept my undivided attention.

Shortly after my mother read the book about a week later, I got sick.  To make a long story short, I was diagnosed with Leukemia, which was the same cancer that the young girl in the book had.  It most definitely was a MIRACLE because the book prepared us for what was ahead, and I was ready to fight.

I was invigorated and intrigued so much that I became a spokesperson for the other kids diagnosed after me.  God had me on assignment.  I was preparing them for their assignments.

He Did it Again

Another MIRACLE that I experienced was during a bone marrow biopsy.  I was given too much Anesthesia and my vitals began to drop.  Although I was asleep, I saw a bright light and was sliding toward the light.

I was afraid, so I started singing.  I found music and singing to be therapeutic.  While singing, “Yes Jesus Loves Me”, my vitals began to stabilize, and I woke up.  Another MIRACLE!

So, I say to you, things might be tough now and you may feel like you are on a never-ending roller coaster, but you must let go and trust your creator.  God has put something in each of us.  The Bible tells us to lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all our hearts and mind.  We must depend on him!

Don’t you worry about what people think or say because you the are daughter of a true king.  You are somebody! You’re successful, beautiful, intelligent, and you are a queen!

Whether you believe it or not the Bible reminds us that God has the power to change your life and my life.  God still performs miracles! Are you prepared to let him?

In that book that I read, they gave the young lady 6 months to live, she fought and won the fight, and so did I.  I’m still here! I am a MIRACLE and God still performs them.  So, again I ask, are you prepared to let him perform your miracle? The time is NOW! DO IT FREELY!
